Chronology of cameras Olympus
Traduction de Manuel M
The Pen S answered at the request of the users of the first Pen to have a more luminous lens. It is thus the same camera, but the lens is a 2,8/30 mm whereas on the first it was a 3,5/28 mm.
Like all Pen’s, it is one 18 x 24 and the images are vertical. The 30 mm, with such a format, is not a wide-angle lens, but a standard lens.
The ring of diaphragm is hidden just around the lens surrounded by the ring of distances. There is no rangefinder for the focusing, but just two notches with 2 and 5 meters for a fast adjustment. There is no cell].
This second version of the Pen is, in fact, the first to be manufactured by Olympus because the Pen of 1959 was sub-contracted.
